Booking Hair & Makeup; Wedding Day Tips

Getting ready for your wedding is more than just having your hair and makeup done.

It’s an opportunity to be pampered, to feel relaxed, and to spend time with your loved ones.

You Hair & Makeup artist is a huge part of that process!

Here are a few tips to help you choose an artist that best suits your needs!

  1. Choose an artist you get a good vibe from. Whether it be from their Social Media, their Website or your first communication with them, trust your intuition.

  2. If you feel more comfortable, book a call or video chat with the artist prior to booking. This gives you an opportunity to “meet” and chat about your needs to see if you’re a good fit.

  3. Book a trial. I know trials are an added cost and time, however, trying your look before the wedding AND getting to know your artist will help ease your mind the day of your wedding. You’ll be less stressed about how things will flow and you’ll be more familiar with your artist.

  4. Ask questions! No matter how long I’ve been in the industry, I never tire of new clients asking questions about hair, makeup, and how the process works. We do this for a living. We are happy to share what we know so you’ll feel more comfortable.

  5. When posting on Social Media to find an artist, be up front about your needs and budget. There is someone for everyone! State your location, budget, number of services needed, and overall desires for these services. This will help weed out artists that may not fit your needs.

Hairstyling and Makeup are more than just hair and makeup, it’s an experience. It’s your big moment and sets the tone for how you feel the rest of the day. Be sure to hire someone you trust, vibe with, and who will provide you with everything you need leading up to and on your Wedding Day.
